Hi coaches,

I spoke with a local woman who's looking for a coach on behalf of herself and 3 co-workers. They want to gain some skills to strategically move their group forward and to make sure that their group remains employed. Their team experienced a recent downsizing due to funding cuts and now only 4 of them remain.

They are not sure exactly what they want, whether it's group coaching, group training, and/or individual one-on-one coaching, or all of the above. They are paying for the coaching out of their own pocket to avoid any potential conflicts of interest with their ..

 This change is intended to align with the ICF Vancouver Board's goals of increasing value to the members, showcasing our community of Coaches and elevating the profile of ICF Vancouver. I'm passing on some information regarding Continuing Coach Training with a group called Awakened Wisdom lead by Patrick Ryan.  The program reviews much of the ICF Core Competencies in a deeply soulful manner and requests that each participant look within for continued personal and professional growth.  I am 1/2 way through the program and have throughly enjoyed it.  There is a new program starting Feb 16th and I would highly recommend it to any who is looking for advanced training.

There's a good discussion online at the Coaching Commons about the future of coaching.  Interesting the comments also include the thought that the ICF chapter format has outlived it's usefulness. 

I think the ICF Vancouver Chapter is a vibrant, thriving learning community.  You might want to weigh in on this conversation.

By the way Rutha Ann Harnish (who funds the Coaching Commons) is asking coaches what we think - is the Coaching Commons still a useful resource for coaches?

Wondering if anyone can recommend any local ICF approved w orkshops which could  apply to Continuing Coaching Education Units towards PCC recertification?
