Defamation and Libel -The Ugly Side of Business & What Should Be Done About It

No one likes to talk about it and few really are conscious of this until it happens to them: what do you do when someone posts something defaming and libelous online about you or your business?

It's happened to me and it turned out to be a business and life changing event. I'm certainly more careful with what put out there now and in the end, that ended up helping us become more focus better.

But for many people, these are stressful and perhaps career damaging event. Sometimes its happens unintentionally (mistake or a joke), sometimes its done deliberately.

I'm talking about:

  • Identity theft.
  • Misunderstandings
  • Slander and defamation
  • Bad reviews
  • Overzealous Journalist and Reports
  • Anyone else in the blogging and social media work

*Note: defamation and libel means that wrong information was posted. If what was posted about you is true, that is something else, I'm afraid.

On November 24th, please join us at 6:30pm for a discussion of the effects of defamation and what to do about it.

This is especially important if you do any sort of marketing or your business is with other people where your reputation is important (which probably does mean YOU!). This could be one of the most important discussions you ever have.
