Help please - PCC accreditation vs. ACC Renewal

Hi there,

Does anything know the following:

My ACC expires Dec 31, 2011 and I'm in the process of understanding how best to proceed.

My understanding is that I can either 1) renew my ACC by Dec 31 or 2) apply for PCC (with a potential extension to Mar 31, 2012 if I request it).

If I renew the ACC, then I need to complete the CCE units, working with a Mentoring Coach, etc. And if I apply for PCC I skip this and just submit the PCC requirements (ACTP course, 750 hours logged, reference letters, payment).

Is this correct?  Or if I apply for the PCC, do I also need to be submitting the ACC Renewal requirements (CCE unit information, and work with a mentor coach, etc) as well as the PCC requirements?

Warm regards,

Tana

Tana, I think you are right for the mentor coach part, but I think you still need the 40 CEU credits. Here is the link to the form.  The ICF material is not always crystal clear: I would still call them. Here is the application form as it was on the ICF site this morning. Congratulations on your progression.  Renewal-Application-20101.doc

Hi Janon,

I just got a speedy, and much appreciated, reply from Kristy Coates, Credentialing Coordinator who clarified the situation.  Kristy has confirmed that:

"When you apply for the PCC, you do not have to renew your ACC nor do you have to obtain those CCE's and mentor coaching."

Thank you Janon for taking the time to reach out and provide support.

Warm regards,

Tana
